Getting The Bass and Kick to Fit
The first thing you will have to do is getting a clean bass sound that sits right in the mix without any further enhancing. Don’t go equalising it if you want to hear more bass. First things first. Now search a good kick in your sample library.
This is for beginners, keep that in mind…

Once the track has been tested and I know it’s going to be a good release. I’ll go back into it and make some minor adjustments if necessary and prep it for the “big leagues.”
Prepping the track includes maximizing the clarity and the loudness of the original wav. I usually spend about a week doing little tweaks here and there to make everything sound nice and crisp. Then I run the final wav through a program called T-Racks, which is simple to use and makes everything sound 100% better! Trust me. Read the rest of this entry »
