Hello all!

I'm new here, but I've lurked now and again

I think that competitions are cool, and it would be neat to have a weekly song contest.

I was thinking about posting a weekly thread where people submit songs to get voted on, and all songs are rated by preference. One song per person per contest, and submitted songs should be recently made.

Do ya'll have any additional ideas for the rules?

This sounds like a good idea. I like stuff like this and I think if enough people wanted to do it it would be really fun.

Maybe each contest could have some kind of theme, like a certain sample has to be used etc. so there's some common thread tying all the songs together.

A song contest with a weekly theme would definetly be interesting. That would give me a reason to write songs.
