Vst's? Where are they to?!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby clowny » Thu Dec 14, 2006 10:17 am

Hello people of reason freaks! I think this gona be a really daft question but hey ho. I've got cubase sx 3 and some non cubase vsts (example-the glitch v1.3) but i have no clue on how to put it into my vst list in cubase! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP its driving me mad!

A second question aswell ive got a latency issue, not just with the midi keyboard, the normal keyboard aswell? Ive followed some tutorials to try and retify the problem but no joy. the direct monitering button is greyed out dont know why and it says that my input latency is 110 ms and the output is 749. Im not an expert but i dont think thats right? Hope someone can help. Cheers Guys from The Clown

if you're latency buttons are gray'ed out in the preferences it's probably because you have a driver installed that controls those things. Try clicking "control panel" or look in your windows control panel and find it there.
For instance the ASIO4ALL drivers overrides the controls in preferences.

I don't know anything about cubase.

Two ways in which vst's are delivered really.

1) as an installable package. Just run the installer and it will automatically put them into your VST folder.

2) as the actual vst. All this requires is for you to locate you VST folder and put them in there.

Installable packages may require a restart after installing, but it should prompt you if so.
