Having expanded my studio to include hardware and some sweet VSTis, I am looking to change my sequencer/host/audio multitracker.
I currently have the NFR version of Tracktion but find its lack of mixer send effects and inability to group tracks on a buss extremely limiting.
I am looking at the following:
Cubase SX3 [I can get it for £499] and Sonar Producer Edition5.0.1[i can get it for £329]
I am tempted by Sonar but have read some bad stuff about it from a stability pov but then I've read similar stories about Cubase.
it's easy enough to get opinions from Cubase users, there are loads of them but finding Sonar users is more difficult.
Have any of you got Sonar (specifically v5.0.1 producer) ?
So what do you think?
