cubase not giving option to rewire

Postby steveodore » Wed May 07, 2008 1:16 pm

Hi guys,

Just installed Cubase SX 3.1.1 on my new Windows Vista (32-bit) system. Then I installed Reason 3.

Now I used to use cubase sx with reason all the time on my old windows xp system and still both applications still seem to work entirely normally on my new windows vista.

The funny thing is, I boot up Cubase (first of course) and then Reason, but I get no option to rewire! I click Devices > in Cubase but there is no rewire button or Reason button. Before it always used to be there automatically (I assumed the system detected the program previously but is having some trouble detecting Reason now)

any thoughts? tips or tricks? thanks!

Hi...same here! frustrating isn't it?!

I bought a yamaha ci2, comes with cubase ai 5. cant get it to talk to reason 4 or my earlier version 3.

in cubase, in Devices, reason or reason rewire simply not listed.

I'm either doing something fundamentally stupid or my reason version is er..suspect. cant be cubase...its right out of the packet!

please please help....contact me directly on brian.duggan@bausch.com if you think you might be of help

its vista 32 bit by the way

and yeah i've reinstalled everything...renamed old version of rewire.dll.

theres so mnay people with same problem arouind the forums but sadly no-one getting to grips with the issue.

life really can suck sometimes!
